2 More Weeks Of MTC

I honestly don’t know what to write about because this week was really boring and almost nothing cool happened. I don't know if you guys remember this but a couple weeks ago I talked about goldfish and their memory. Well I do really have the memory of a goldfish because when I'm trying to learn a new word I forget about 3 seconds after I learn it. That's kinda how my life has been the past 6 weeks BUT THAT'S OK!! I have God on my side so I know he will help me with this language. 


I just played volleyball with sam eaton ryan moon and kaleo grover so that was sick. It was the very last time playing volleyball with Sam because he leaves tmr morning, but on the last point Sam blocked me. That's fine tho because he needs some confidence before he goes to Mexico and doesn't understand what anybody is saying to him.


One of my teachers Brother Thomas said we have made him a good teacher because we are so dumb and ask questions that no other district has ever asked him and he has to explain it to us in the simplest way he can. I think this is the biggest compliment I have received in the past 6 weeks. Our district is so dumb that we are making the teachers a lot better. One of my other teachers Brother Lewis told us that he is leaving the MTC in about two weeks. He told us he was leaving because he had been working here for about 2 years and now he is married and about to start med school. I really think the main reason he is leaving is because he knows we are the best district he will ever have and wants to end on a high note.

During Saturday night class, I was struggling at the start and my brain just wasn't working and I was confused for about an hour and a half. We went outside and did a "skit" in our groups of 4 to act out a real life contacting situation and It went really well and I got so much more confidence. We went back to class and somehow it turned into the most spiritual testimony meeting I've ever been a part of for the last 40 minutes. We went on a break and got back from the break and our teacher said something about the temple and eternal families and it sparked the greatest testimony meeting I've ever been a part of. 

I don't know what else to talk about so that might be it for this email. Love you guys! I'll try to make next week's email a little bit better.

Dang this was such a normal week, but I'll try to make this interesting. Monday we had a district p day which was awesome. I used to have those every week in Prague, I definitely miss those days haha. But we went to one of the prettiest places in the country, it was literally a fairy tale land. But it was an awesome day and gave us some energy for the long week we had. We ended that day with some street contacting, picking up elder Rowes wallet from the train station cause he lost it, and then killing around 15 spiders that have been lurking in our church building for probably the past 5 years.  Tuesday was a completely normal day, we visited an inactive member and she said she's definitely not going to come back to church. Kinda unfortunate.  Wednesday was the first day of my mission that I have ever gone door to door contacting. It was actually a lot of fun but dang nobody wanted to talk with us. This is actually going to be such a short email cause I don't feel really good, but this week was so awesome. Pretty much the first half of the week was pretty great, normal missionary work. We were able to teach a couple lessons and talk with lots of people. Good stuff. Thursday we went to the other elders area and I ran an exchange with my old comp from Prague elder Lawrence. That was a good time and good to be back together. The exchange was pretty great. That next day I had my last VISA appointment in Prague and now I have my visa which is good. Elder Hinckley still has 2 more so we will be going back again very soon. Pretty bad timing but its alr.  The best part of the week was that i was able to return to CBUD for a baptism of one of our friends that I was able to teach before i left. She is so amazing, already has the strongest testimony! She has some family members in the church so she has been reading the Book of mormon a little bit over the past couple years. One day she ...

Week 88 Or Something As A Missionary

Whats up everybody! This week was really awesome! It started off with a lot of late nights preparing for ZC and some other things, but it was a lot of fun.  It's been a crazy past couple of weeks. As a mission, we always have a monthly focus. Througout our MLC about a month ago, we counciled about things and decided that the best monthly focus for our mission would be, "Confidence and Christ". We were planning a lot of things, even as we were preparing for a zone conference, we were completely focusing on how to grow in our confidence in Christ. Then as we watched General Conference, President Nelsons talk was titled, "Confidence in the Presence of God". It was such an incredible feeling, knowing that our mission is focusing exactly on what the Prophet feels need to share with us.  Zone Conference went great, all the trainings and thoughts were all focused on growing our confidence through charity and Virtue and how to apply it directly into missionary work.
