Baby Tower And Eifel Tower

Another week in Prague. I feel like a lot happened this week so I'm just gonna get right into it! Just skip to different paragraphs if you don't want to read the whole thing.

P day was so sick. We had a zone p day so there were about 25 missionaries together all day here in Prague. We started with a little contacting blitz. That meant that we all split up into random groups with random companions. I got put with a greenie that got here 6 weeks ago. It was so much fun and we had some really good convos. It's crazy how much the gift of tongues works when you need it. Then we played Lazer tag and I went crazy. I got first place on my team both games. It was a lot of fun. Then of course we played some basketball, but the fun part was that the whole court was iced over in our church parking lot. We played ice basketball for like an hour and it was so much fun but also dangerous. We also got to play basketball later that night too with the mission presidents fam and the APs. I can still dunk so that's good.

Tuesday was a solid day. We went contacting for a bit and nobody wanted to talk with us but we had a lesson with Peter. Right before the lesson I saw this one kid/dude looking at our church so I went and talked to him. Long story short, his grandpa died a year ago from that day and I testified about the plan of Salvation, got his contact and gave him a book of Mormon. It was super cool. English class was super weird. It turned into this one dude taking 30 minutes to tell us that π in math is wrong and that he figured out a new equation. The dude is wild and I don't think he should come to English class if he could explain all that to us.

We had 5 lessons scheduled on Tuesday and Wednesday and all of them fell through except 2. And one of those 2, the girl hung up on me like 7 minutes into it. It's probably cause she couldn't understand me. Every time I call somebody, which is multiple times a day, everybody always says “nerozumím vůbec” which translates to “I don't understand you at all”. It's the greatest feeling in the world!

Thursday we had a lit day cause we did exchanges with the APs. I was with elder Wagner and it was such a lit day and I learned so much. We are super similar so it's always a good time with him. We went to this big skinny tall tower thing with naked babies on it. It was pretty cool, lots of people there too but nobody wanted to talk. It's ok tho. We also had a lesson with Martin and taught him about temples. Teaching about temples in Czech is honestly super hard. I can teach it in English really well but Czech makes it very difficult. I went straight to the “the temple is a place where we baptize our deceased ancestors” right off the bat. Elder Wagner looked at me with some wide eyes and he fixed the situation for me. It was super funny but I got some practicing to do before I teach that lesson again.

Our boy Peter wants to get baptized right now if he could. The problem is that his wife is super against it. He can't get baptized until she gives him permission. So please say some extra prayers. It would be super cool to see him get baptized before I leave Prague!

We went contacting at this mini eiffel tower place on Saturday and the weather is starting to get way better which is nice. On Sunday we saw a mom with her two little boys playing some Frisbee at the park. I walked over and asked if we could play with them. For the next 30 minutes we were playing Frisbee in a bunch of mud in our nice church suits. It was a lot of fun, they weren't interested in the gospel tho. Maybe next time.

Spiritual thought for the week, Moroni 9:4 “Behold, I am laboring with them continually; and when I speak the word of God with sharpness they tremble and anger against me; and when I use no sharpness they harden their hearts against it; wherefore, I fear lest the Spirit of the Lord hath ceased striving with them.“ There's a lot of days here where I wonder why I'm not in the states or South America or some other place in the world. Every place is hard for different reasons and the Czech Republic is hard because people just don't believe in God here. It just doesn't make sense to them. This verse relates to me right now in so many ways. The next two verses go on to say that we need to labor diligently no matter what. Everybody needs the chance to hear what they are missing out on. Missionaries are here to spread our joy to the entire world!

This was a super long email but you guys are all the best! Have a litty week!
