Další Skvělý Týden V Praze!
Další skvělý týden v Praze! This week started off a little rough but every day got better. It felt like my language skills were back to when I just barely got here to Czechia at the beginning of the week. But now at the end of the week, it feels like it's the best it's been. I hate how the gift of tongues works, but I'm studying and working hard and I can see it start paying off even when it may not feel like it.
Last P day was so much fun cause we played sports for pretty much 6 hours straight. The mission President and his kids played with us. So we had 8 missionaries and 4 others from President's fam. We played basketball for about 2 hours in the church parking lot. Then we went to the park and played American football for like 2 and a half hours. It was so much freaking fun. Then we ended with some ultimate frisbee. I miss sports so it was such a goated day.
The first couple days of the week we were just working really hard with some stuff we had to do. We had a lesson with our friend Peter and he's doing super good! He is gonna try and get baptized at the end of February now which is super exciting.
Friday and Saturday were crazy days but also such good days. We had lunch with the whole district at the mission President's home. He has a son that served his mission in Brazil that cooked a bunch of Brazilian food for us. It was super good. Then right after that we went with the sisters in our district to a member's house for cake and hot chocolate. The lady is like superrr old but it was a good time. The cake was actually not too bad, which was super nice. Then we sang for about an hour straight haha. It was brutal but that's what she wanted so we did it. We just appreciate every time we get to go into somebody's home.
Right after that we went to Tanyas house and me and my comp taught the family about Prophets. They have come super far since the first time I visited them. We taught them how to pray about 3 months ago and now it's crazy to see where they are at. The one daughter that is baptized is going to the temple next week which is a big deal and super exciting. She gets to do baptisms with her mom there.
Saturday was a straight up fire day for a lot of reasons haha. It started off with a Baptism for the AP’s friend. I'm super close with this dude so it was such a special day. He asked me to give a talk so I talked about baptism and the whole thing was super spiritual and such a good time. After that we had a phone call with a 70ish year old lady. In the middle of our call she asked us what she has to do to get baptized and me and my comp just looked at each other with the most shocked look ever. Then we asked if she knows what the Book of Mormon is and she had no clue. We have a lot of work to do but maybe something really good will come out of it.
About 2 hours after that we had a lesson at the church with another like 60 year old Czech lady. She pulled up to the church with her 90 year old mom. It was one of the most interesting lessons I have ever been a part of haha. Half of the lesson this 90 year old woman was standing right next to my face cause she could barely hear. So many more crazy weird stories happened in just that 30 minutes but it was hilarious and we gave them both a Book of Mormon so we will see what happens.
Sunday we had a lesson with a little 9 year old newly baptized kid. He was such a stud! Bro was in 3rd grade saying some crazy answers to all our questions. Thats pretty much my week!
Quick scripture to end the email, 1 Nephi 10:18 “For he is the asame yesterday, today, and forever; and the way is prepared for all men from the foundation of the world, if it so be that they repent and come unto him.”
Love you guys! Have a great week!
