Head Buzzed

Yoo wass good. Last monday on P day I asked one of the sisters to give me a haircut. She was giving me a nice haircut but then accidentally took off a little too much of my hair so the only option was a buzz cut. So now I have a buzz cut. 


This week was pretty lit tho, on Tuesday we had a good lesson with Peter and put him on date officially for February 15 if everything goes well. So that's really cool. 


Thursday we had exchanges with the ZLs so I was with Elder Millet all day. He's from AZ and went to Mountain View so it was cool. We had a lesson with Peter again and did some fire contacting. That means that in like 2 hours we had 4 people that stopped to talk with us so it was great. We got 2 of their contacts and they both ghosted us. But in the moment it felt like a huge success haha. We had 6 elders at our apartment that night so it was fun. 


Friday was Zone Conference so we got to see our whole zone and it was fun. We gave a fire presentation about some social media stuff. Everybody says that the social media presentations are always really boring but we added some videos to make them really good. That lasted for a lot of the day but then right after we left with some sisters to go help a member move. For an hour or two we were taking big shelves and washing machines and stuff down 4 flights of stairs in our suit pants and nice clothes. I think we are going to go help them finish moving on Tuesday this week so that'll be fun. 

Saturday we were contacting at this park and saw some people playing volleyball. We pulled up and they said we could play with them so that was fun. The problem was that they could only speak ukrainian. So for the entire time we had no clue what they were saying but later found out that about half the words were cuss words haha. It was good and we got their contact. They said they will text us next time they have a “training” so we will probably pull up again. 


Yesterday there was a baptism in Prague for some elders in another city so that was fun. During the baptism 2 random people pulled up, they were some very interesting people haha. But the APs told us that we were going to teach them so we taught them a 15 minute lesson. I don't think I understood a single word they said the whole lesson, like actually haha. It was so bad. But they walked out of the lesson with a Book of Mormon in their hand and they learned how to pray. We also committed them to read the Book of Mormon before our next lesson. That next lesson is going to be mad confusing but it will be good.


2 Nephi 25:26 “And we atalk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we bprophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our cchildren may know to what source they may look for a dremission of their sins.” FIre verse for you guys this week. Everything we do, should be of Christ because he is our greatest example.

Dang this was such a normal week, but I'll try to make this interesting. Monday we had a district p day which was awesome. I used to have those every week in Prague, I definitely miss those days haha. But we went to one of the prettiest places in the country, it was literally a fairy tale land. But it was an awesome day and gave us some energy for the long week we had. We ended that day with some street contacting, picking up elder Rowes wallet from the train station cause he lost it, and then killing around 15 spiders that have been lurking in our church building for probably the past 5 years.  Tuesday was a completely normal day, we visited an inactive member and she said she's definitely not going to come back to church. Kinda unfortunate.  Wednesday was the first day of my mission that I have ever gone door to door contacting. It was actually a lot of fun but dang nobody wanted to talk with us. This is actually going to be such a short email cause I don't feel really good, but this week was so awesome. Pretty much the first half of the week was pretty great, normal missionary work. We were able to teach a couple lessons and talk with lots of people. Good stuff. Thursday we went to the other elders area and I ran an exchange with my old comp from Prague elder Lawrence. That was a good time and good to be back together. The exchange was pretty great. That next day I had my last VISA appointment in Prague and now I have my visa which is good. Elder Hinckley still has 2 more so we will be going back again very soon. Pretty bad timing but its alr.  The best part of the week was that i was able to return to CBUD for a baptism of one of our friends that I was able to teach before i left. She is so amazing, already has the strongest testimony! She has some family members in the church so she has been reading the Book of mormon a little bit over the past couple years. One day she ...

Week 88 Or Something As A Missionary

Whats up everybody! This week was really awesome! It started off with a lot of late nights preparing for ZC and some other things, but it was a lot of fun.  It's been a crazy past couple of weeks. As a mission, we always have a monthly focus. Througout our MLC about a month ago, we counciled about things and decided that the best monthly focus for our mission would be, "Confidence and Christ". We were planning a lot of things, even as we were preparing for a zone conference, we were completely focusing on how to grow in our confidence in Christ. Then as we watched General Conference, President Nelsons talk was titled, "Confidence in the Presence of God". It was such an incredible feeling, knowing that our mission is focusing exactly on what the Prophet feels need to share with us.  Zone Conference went great, all the trainings and thoughts were all focused on growing our confidence through charity and Virtue and how to apply it directly into missionary work.
