Middy Transfers

These past 2 weeks have been some of the best two weeks of my mission filled with so much joy. I don't know why tho because we have had absolutely no success. This week was an absolute grind and we had a lot of fun doing it.

We have mid transfers today and pretty much the entire mission got switched up. It's the 11th week of our 15 week transfer so prez made a lot of changes. BUT, me and my comp didnt get affected at all and we get to be in Prague for one more month which is going to be so lit. I'm like 90 percent sure I'm leaving Prague at the end of March but I really don't know. Prague is the best, so I'm trying to stay here as long as I can.

On Wednesday I looked at our schedule in the morning and we didn't have a single thing on our schedule. So I started to think of a way that I could find one single person that will come to church, take a book of Mormon, or want to meet with us later in the week. If i just got one person that wanted to do one of those things it would've been a success for the whole day. Well I had the idea to walk from our apartment to the church and talk with every single person I saw. It's a 45 minute metro ride, and it was supposed to be an hour and a half walk. I think i probably talked with 150 to 200 people on the way there, i talked with everybody i saw except for a few of the really main touristy places. I got one dude's contact, gave him a Book of Mormon, and set up a lesson for Friday. I was so stoked and super excited for the lesson but then on Thursday the dude texted us and told us a bunch of things he found on the internet and he wants nothing to do with us. So that was great, but the best part about it all was how much joy I felt the entire time. Nobody wanted anything to do with us, but the joy we got from talking with people and sharing our light made it all worth it.

The rest of the other days were some pretty long days on the streets and still nobody wanted anything, but we called some people and have like 5 lessons scheduled this next week which is like insane. I'm super excited for those and I hope at least a few of them actually end up happening. Usually when we call people, they never actually want to meet with us so it's a pretty big miracle that we got 5 people.

That's pretty much my email for this week but Ill end with a paragraph from the Gospel principles book. “We should repent now, every day. When we get up in the morning, we should examine ourselves to see whether the Spirit of God is with us. At night before we go to sleep, we should review our acts and words of the day and ask the Lord to help us recognize the things for which we need to repent. By repenting every day and having the Lord forgive our sins, we will experience the daily process of becoming perfect. As with Alma, our happiness and joy can be sweet and exquisite” Sometimes we don't think about daily repentance too much. We think of it as a big thing when we make big mistakes. Something that sticks out to me in this paragraph is asking the lord to help us recognize the things we need to repent for or maybe work on. He will help us find our struggles or weaknesses if we aren't able to. He will also help us overcome those things through daily repentance.

I love you guys and hope you are all doing great! Send me an email if you want!
