SLOVAKIA

This week was loaded with so much fun and exciting things. Our schedule was always full with things and it was amazing. 


I got to go to Slovakia for the first time and it was so much fun! We spent all of p day there and played sports with all the Slovakia missionaries. After that we had a little Hawaiian lunch because our mission president's wife is Hawaiin so that was fire. Then we gave our 4 our little social media training thing and it went super well. We got a lot of videos and stuff for the next couple months so it was great. I'm gonna be spending a lot of time these next couple weeks editing those before I leave Prague so it'll be interesting. We went to their Zone Conference and then I got to drive a huge van for 5 hours back from Slovakia with the Prague sisters and sister skousen(president's wife) it was lit. Thursday we had a lesson with Peter and a new dude named daniel. Daniel is crazyyy but bro does everything we commit him to do so that's good. We have another lesson with him on Sunday so hopefully it'll go good! 


Friday we had our own ZC and it was the best ZC I've been to so far. The stake president came and talked with us about working with members cause it's low key Hard but we are going to try to keep getting into their homes to Help grow their own testimonies. We did our 4 hour social media thing that night and it was pretty good, everybody was pretty dead after ZC but it was good. I also got reunited with all the elders from my mtc district so that was fire! A few of them stayed the night at our apartment too. 


Saturday was full of a lot of service. We played basketball against one of the high schools here and it felt so good to just play real 5v5s again. After that we helped a member move for like 5 hours so we were freaking some after that. 


That was pretty much my week. It was packed with a lot of pretty fun stuff and this week is going to be full with a lot of streets and grinding and we are gonna find so many people, I can feel it. 


We have our boi peters baptism on thursday So I can't wait for that! Bro is so ready and it's gonna be an amazing day! We have 3 more baptisms in Prague this week which is absolutely Insane. It's hard to get 4 baptisms a month for the whole mission but we have 4 just in Prague alone this week! It's so freaking cool and I can't wait for it.


Alright spiritual thought for the week.

Matthew 4:20-22

“20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him. 21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them. 22 And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.”

This verse sticks out to me because it shows how they “straightway” and “immediately” left their nets. They had so much trust in Jesus Christ that they left everything behind and followed Christ. That's exactly what we need to do no matter how hard it is.

Dang this was such a normal week, but I'll try to make this interesting. Monday we had a district p day which was awesome. I used to have those every week in Prague, I definitely miss those days haha. But we went to one of the prettiest places in the country, it was literally a fairy tale land. But it was an awesome day and gave us some energy for the long week we had. We ended that day with some street contacting, picking up elder Rowes wallet from the train station cause he lost it, and then killing around 15 spiders that have been lurking in our church building for probably the past 5 years.  Tuesday was a completely normal day, we visited an inactive member and she said she's definitely not going to come back to church. Kinda unfortunate.  Wednesday was the first day of my mission that I have ever gone door to door contacting. It was actually a lot of fun but dang nobody wanted to talk with us. This is actually going to be such a short email cause I don't feel really good, but this week was so awesome. Pretty much the first half of the week was pretty great, normal missionary work. We were able to teach a couple lessons and talk with lots of people. Good stuff. Thursday we went to the other elders area and I ran an exchange with my old comp from Prague elder Lawrence. That was a good time and good to be back together. The exchange was pretty great. That next day I had my last VISA appointment in Prague and now I have my visa which is good. Elder Hinckley still has 2 more so we will be going back again very soon. Pretty bad timing but its alr.  The best part of the week was that i was able to return to CBUD for a baptism of one of our friends that I was able to teach before i left. She is so amazing, already has the strongest testimony! She has some family members in the church so she has been reading the Book of mormon a little bit over the past couple years. One day she ...

Week 88 Or Something As A Missionary

Whats up everybody! This week was really awesome! It started off with a lot of late nights preparing for ZC and some other things, but it was a lot of fun.  It's been a crazy past couple of weeks. As a mission, we always have a monthly focus. Througout our MLC about a month ago, we counciled about things and decided that the best monthly focus for our mission would be, "Confidence and Christ". We were planning a lot of things, even as we were preparing for a zone conference, we were completely focusing on how to grow in our confidence in Christ. Then as we watched General Conference, President Nelsons talk was titled, "Confidence in the Presence of God". It was such an incredible feeling, knowing that our mission is focusing exactly on what the Prophet feels need to share with us.  Zone Conference went great, all the trainings and thoughts were all focused on growing our confidence through charity and Virtue and how to apply it directly into missionary work.
