GC, ZC, And Exchanges

I had a pretty solid week with General Conference, Zone Conference and i got to run up some exchanges also. We had our pday in another area about 2 hours away so it was great to be with some other missionaries for the day. Then I hit up an exchange on Tuesday with Elder Folkman! He's super cool and we worked really hard. Did a lot of street contacting with not too much success but we learned a lot together so it was great. We were outside for around 3 or 4 hours and got one person's contact. She was really cool, just still hasn't answered our texts or calls unfortunately. We had some really good talks so it was lit. 

Our train got really delayed about an hour into it cause a tree fell on the tracks so we had to hop on a bus for like 20 minutes. We met this one dude who is super cool and talked to him for about 40 minutes. He loves sports but is not interested in the gospel. We will see tho. 

Wednesday and Thursday were just straight up working hard days and we had a lesson with a friend and 2 little lessons with members. It was good, all of our friends are like super spiritually young with like no belief in God currently. It's really hard but at least they want to meet with us. 

I returned to my home on Friday in Prague for ZC. It was soo good to be back, I freaking love and miss Prague but I'm learning a lot here so that's good. We had a really good ZC and I talked to a lot of missionaries that I'm really close with now so it was super fire. I actually get to go back to Prague again This week, which is exciting. But yeah ZC was lit.
Saturday was great because our schedule was completely empty and General Conference was at 6. So we hit the streets hard and I had some of the most interesting conversations of my life. We talked with some absolutely crazy people and idk how some people can be so lost to be completely honest haha. But we are all God's children and he loves all of us but yeah it was wild and gross. Not too much success from that day but we talked with a lotttt of people. Low key rough. 

Sunday we watched some General Conference in our apartment and then watched the Sunday morning one at the church. We watched it with our branch so it was me, my comp and 4 members. I also understood about 30 percent of what was being said. Which honestly isn't too bad, it's getting better hahah. 

I love Elder Holland and he gave a really good talk and I loved one of his quotes. 
"It is for reasons known only to God why prayers are answered differently than we hope, but they are heard, and they are answered according to His unfailing love and timetable." 

There have been lots of really good talks this general conference and a lot of them have to do with covenants in the Temple. This talk was really good because it was super basic and something that lots of people really needed to hear. God hears our prayers every single time! When you are having a bad day, say a prayer because heavenly heads you and knows what you are going through. Sometimes he will make us go through hard times cause that's how we grow but we are never stranded. It's such an important truth!

Dang this was such a normal week, but I'll try to make this interesting. Monday we had a district p day which was awesome. I used to have those every week in Prague, I definitely miss those days haha. But we went to one of the prettiest places in the country, it was literally a fairy tale land. But it was an awesome day and gave us some energy for the long week we had. We ended that day with some street contacting, picking up elder Rowes wallet from the train station cause he lost it, and then killing around 15 spiders that have been lurking in our church building for probably the past 5 years.  Tuesday was a completely normal day, we visited an inactive member and she said she's definitely not going to come back to church. This is actually going to be such a short email cause I don't feel really good, but this week was so awesome. Pretty much the first half of the week was pretty great, normal missionary work. We were able to teach a couple lessons and talk with lots of people. Good stuff. Thursday we went to the other elders area and I ran an exchange with my old comp from Prague elder Lawrence. That was a good time and good to be back together. The exchange was pretty great. That next day I had my last VISA appointment in Prague and now I have my visa which is good. Elder Hinckley still has 2 more so we will be going back again very soon. Pretty bad timing but its alr.  The best part of the week was that i was able to return to CBUD for a baptism of one of our friends that I was able to teach before i left. She is so amazing, already has the strongest testimony! She has some family members in the church so she has been reading the Book of mormon a little bit over the past couple years. One day she ...

Week 88 Or Something As A Missionary

Whats up everybody! This week was really awesome! It started off with a lot of late nights preparing for ZC and some other things, but it was a lot of fun.  It's been a crazy past couple of weeks. As a mission, we always have a monthly focus. Througout our MLC about a month ago, we counciled about things and decided that the best monthly focus for our mission would be, "Confidence and Christ". We were planning a lot of things, even as we were preparing for a zone conference, we were completely focusing on how to grow in our confidence in Christ. Then as we watched General Conference, President Nelsons talk was titled, "Confidence in the Presence of God". It was such an incredible feeling, knowing that our mission is focusing exactly on what the Prophet feels need to share with us.  Zone Conference went great, all the trainings and thoughts were all focused on growing our confidence through charity and Virtue and how to apply it directly into missionary work.
