Dang, this was one of the hardest and longest weeks ever. But we worked super hard and did see a couple miracles and blessings so that's what I'll write about!
Monday we went to the coolest castle ever. It was hugeee and was also super pretty all around it. One of the coolest places I've been to so far. That night we hit the streets for a couple hours and started our week of grinding haha.
Tuesday we played badminton against a dude that was on a pro badminton team here. I never thought I would do that and I got really humbled. Bro was absolutely Insane. The rest of the day was literally just finding, had a few good convos but nothing too crazy.
Wednesday we went to our boi ctibors house. This dude is really struggling with his health and he got baptized About 10 years ago. We shared a quick spiritual thought with him. Then We went to this place called The Hub which is actually a Jesus Club. We taught this one dude the gospel of Jesus Christ and it went really good. He didn't end up coming to church but that's alr. We got a random call from a gray dot and she said she wanted a lesson. So that night we taught her the restoration lesson. The gift of tongues wasn't helping us too much but the lesson went pretty well. She actually wants to meet this Week a couple times so that's exciting.
Thursday was a little brutal. I was really praying to Heavenly Father for a little blessing or miracle. I went to go call a couple of our contacts and this one dude didn't answer so that was unfortunate. But then he called me back and I ended up teaching him like half the restoration in about 30 minutes. It was the best phone call I've ever had. This dude is very bad at contacting us but he is really cool and I hope we continue to teach him. That night we met some dude that invited us to play basketball with him so that was a big blessing. That almost never happens here and I've been searching for somebody to play with my whole mission haha.
Friday we had a really good Lesson with this one dude and are hoping to put him on date in his next lesson. That would be really cool so if everything goes right it would be a huge miracle. He flaked on us for church But that's alright. That night we ended up playing some basketball with that one dude from the other day. It was super fun, they weren't very good but it was still basketball. so that was awesome.
Saturday we pulled up to another town for the day and it was beautiful. The weather was honestly terrible all week and it was especially bad on Saturday. It was pouring rain and in the high 30s and low 40s all day. It wasn't too fun for contacting but the town was absolutely beautiful. We ended the night with a lesson with a dude named Karel. Sunday morning we picked him up and went to church. Kinda fun.
Sunday our schedule was completely open so nothing too crazy. Church Was good and that's about it for my week.
Alright spiritual thought for the week. This was a quote that my mom sent me in the middle of the week and it was awesome! “I used to pray that God would feed the hungry, or do this or that, but now I pray that he will guide me to do whatever I am supposed to do, what I can do. I used to pray for answers, but now I'm praying for strength. I used to believe that prayer changes things, but now I know that prayer changes us and we change things.”
This quote really changed my point of view. I definitely do believe that prayer can actually change things. But I also believe that a lot of the time it really is prayer changing us. Prayer gives us the strength to keep going and the motivation to know that Heavenly Father loves us. And occasionally Heavenly Father will put a really cool blessing in our lives like he did for me this week. But prayer is so important and I've never had a stronger testimony for it than I do now.
That's my email for this week! Love you guys and hope you have an amazing week!! Send me a quick email if you have some time!
