Character Of Christ
Another week and last week of this 12 week transfer. WOW, this week was soo freaking hard for a coupke different reasons haha but I found soo much joy it was actually incredible. If I had this week about 4 weeks ago or any other time of my mission, it may have been one of the hardest weeks of my life... but it was honestly an amazing week because i changed my mindset and definitely have learned a lot from these past 12 weeks.
I would go through ever day but pretty much our entire week went like this.
- we had District Council on Saturday for an hour and a half
- we had 2 lessons on Friday, those were our only lessons of the week.
- we had a member meal Sunday night which was awesome, the chrdlovi are amazing.
- like 2 or 3 more leadership calls for a total of like an hour and a half.
- quick trip to the hospital
And after that it was straight up walking on the streets and talking to literally every single person I saw. We also had studies too but those are normal.
One of the greatest miracles ever was that we had 3 new friends come to church on Sunday. It feels like all my hard work is payed off right there just because they came. It was the greatest feeling in the world haha.
Other than that nothing happened but I wanted to share a little bit about a talk I listened to this week called Character of Christ from Elder Bednar. One of the quotes he said was "The work you perform is a whole lot more about who you are and what you are, than what you ever say". This doesn't mean that I don't have to study the gospel or study czech at all but this was so powerful to me. I for some reason still can't teach a good lesson like at all in czech, it is maybe the hardest thing in the entire world. Every day i try my best to follow the spirit, be obedient, work hard, and be positive. I know as long as i do those things, Heavenly Father will trust me and put me in people's paths that are ready for our message. This is so important. There is no words i can say, as long as Im following the spirit, that can hinder someone from the relationship or path back to Heavenly Father. If they are ready, they are ready and no matter how bad or good my language skills are, my example and the feelings they get when i share my testimony is all that matters. Our examples and they way we carry the spirit with us is truly so powerful.
The last little miracle i wanted to share was about a talk that my dad sent me throughout the week. He shared a talk from Elder Holland with me about Joseph Smith in Liberty Jail. This talk really stood out to me because it talked about how Joseph Smith was still able to have the spirit with him even in times or situations when it may feel impossible. So many other things stuck out to me and it was great. But the miracle is that in church thus Sunday, one of our members quoted a big chunk of This exact talk and based his whole talk around it. It was such a cool miracle to see that nobody would ever know or realize. But that was Heavenly Fathers way of telling me that he's watching over me and because others were in tune with the spirit, I was able to be blessed by it.
Have an another great week and i love you guys!!! Send me an email!
