Miserable Weather And Mission Conference

Whats goody everybody! Hope you are all doing well. This week was actually awesome and super wild, but also very slow haha.
On Tuesday we left for Prague because i had a Visa appointment. We were able to spend the whole day there and actually taught two lessons which was super great. It's always good to go back to Prague. That next day we had the greatest mission conference ever. Elder McConkie form the 70 came to our mission. It was absolutely amazing because he was one of the first groups of missionaries to serve here about 30ish years ago and he was also the mission president like 10 years ago here. He knows this mission more then probably anybody so it was super personal and he shared exactly what we needed.
He answered a lot of my questions about how the spirit works, how to find the elect, and so many other amazing things that really just were so powerful and spiritual. I also was able to talk with sister mcConkie during all of lunch and she is awesome. It was super cool just to be able to sit and talk with her for like 45 minutes and get to know her.
The rest of the week was pretty insane actually because Czech Republic was in danger of having super crazy floods that were going to cause a lot of cities to evacuate. Luckily my city didn't get flooded. The bad thing was that for 4 straight days there was not a single moment when it wasn't raining. And we had absolutely no plans for all 4 of those days so we were outside talking with people for over 4 hours on most of the days. Haha it was so miserable and I'm not ready for the winter. It was like high 30s and low 40s and it's only September. Low key brutal.
But the week was still awesome and full of joy. It's crazy to look back at the beginning of my mission. If I had those rainy days back at the start of my mission it would have been like the worst week ever haha. But this week was awesome and talking to grumpy czech people over and over again in the dumping rain has never brought me so much joy. Like genuinely. Super excited for the next 11 weeks of this transfer to see how we can change this area with the help of these awesome members.
D&C 123:17
"Therefore, dearly beloved brethren, let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed."
Wow this scripture is so fire and true. I really learned through our mission conference and throughout my mission that we can only do our best as missionaries. So much of the work that we do is done by God and the timing sometimes isn't how we would feel. But we can give it our all and work hard every day and have the greatest amount of faith that God can bless us and do his part. His arm will for sure be revealed when the timing is right and we can only do the things that lie In our own power.
I love you guys and hope you have a great week, also send me an email please!
