GC

Whats upp again everybody!?? I hope you are all going great! This weel was super crazy uneventful. Like genuinely. But general conference was amazing and that was for sure a highlight of the week. 
This week we have really been praying and fasting just to be able to find one person who is ready and that could be another priesthood Holder for our branch here in trebic. Things are still just going crazy slow here and it feels like nobody wants to talk with us... like at all haha. More than 85 percent of our conversations these days are lasting more than 10-15 seconds but we have been talking to soo many people which is great. 
One quick tender mercy we saw this week, was that we were contacting on friday around the time school was out. The only people on the streets were 14-17 year old kids. I'm not sure what the age limit is for who we are allowed to talk with but we did pretty great at talking with everybody. A couple situations was a group of 5 boys, we asked them if they believes in God and they all laughed and said no. But one of the kids actually managed to say yes, but only sometimes. All of his friends started laughing. So I asked the other why they don't believe in God. But then I ended up talking to the one kid that believes and Elder Hinckley was able to distract the others and we got the kids number and will soon hopefully meet with him again. Also found a 15ish year old girl that we are going to meet with as well. She sounds super interested so we will see how it goes. 
Other than that, General Conference was awesome. I haven't been able to listen to all of it yet, but soo many of the talks were incredible. I genuinely have never been so excited to watch GC before, it's pretty much christmas for a missionary haha. I love how so many of the talks talked about being a "peaceable Disciple of Christ" and having "HOPE and JOY as we live the gospel". I truly believe that there is no better life to live, than being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. You can't feel the same amount of joy, peace and hope without. Aa we try our best to never start contention and always be a Peacemaker, we can fill the lives of others with pure happiness! Im so grateful I was able to continue to hear the words of prophets and apostles testify of these things.

Dang this was such a normal week, but I'll try to make this interesting. Monday we had a district p day which was awesome. I used to have those every week in Prague, I definitely miss those days haha. But we went to one of the prettiest places in the country, it was literally a fairy tale land. But it was an awesome day and gave us some energy for the long week we had. We ended that day with some street contacting, picking up elder Rowes wallet from the train station cause he lost it, and then killing around 15 spiders that have been lurking in our church building for probably the past 5 years.  Tuesday was a completely normal day, we visited an inactive member and she said she's definitely not going to come back to church. Kinda unfortunate.  Wednesday was the first day of my mission that I have ever gone door to door contacting. It was actually a lot of fun but dang nobody wanted to talk with us. This is actually going to be such a short email cause I don't feel really good, but this week was so awesome. Pretty much the first half of the week was pretty great, normal missionary work. We were able to teach a couple lessons and talk with lots of people. Good stuff. Thursday we went to the other elders area and I ran an exchange with my old comp from Prague elder Lawrence. That was a good time and good to be back together. The exchange was pretty great. That next day I had my last VISA appointment in Prague and now I have my visa which is good. Elder Hinckley still has 2 more so we will be going back again very soon. Pretty bad timing but its alr.  The best part of the week was that i was able to return to CBUD for a baptism of one of our friends that I was able to teach before i left. She is so amazing, already has the strongest testimony! She has some family members in the church so she has been reading the Book of mormon a little bit over the past couple years. One day she ...

Week 88 Or Something As A Missionary

Whats up everybody! This week was really awesome! It started off with a lot of late nights preparing for ZC and some other things, but it was a lot of fun.  It's been a crazy past couple of weeks. As a mission, we always have a monthly focus. Througout our MLC about a month ago, we counciled about things and decided that the best monthly focus for our mission would be, "Confidence and Christ". We were planning a lot of things, even as we were preparing for a zone conference, we were completely focusing on how to grow in our confidence in Christ. Then as we watched General Conference, President Nelsons talk was titled, "Confidence in the Presence of God". It was such an incredible feeling, knowing that our mission is focusing exactly on what the Prophet feels need to share with us.  Zone Conference went great, all the trainings and thoughts were all focused on growing our confidence through charity and Virtue and how to apply it directly into missionary work.
