Mabey ZC

Another week in Třebič and it was a pretty good one. The work is still going super slow here but we are working hard and having a really good time. I think the people here are just extremely brutal haha because it's just a big struggle to have a single lesson with anybody. I do know that it's a great time for growth and there is no other time in my life where I will be doing anything like this so im not taking any second for granted. 
We decided we were going to go pantalocking as district for 1 hour ever dsy of the week and that was fun. Pantalocks are buildings that the Germans built during communism that are just everywhere here. It's pretty much just a flat that has like 8 floors so we knock on all the doors. I've done about 50 hours or something in total door knocking on my mission and still haven't had a single lesson come from it. It was a good effort this week and still didn't find anybody but we gave lots of people the opportunity to hear the gospel. 
We had an awesome ZC and learned a lot. All of us had to teach prez in front of the entire zone and everybody just got grilled by the aps and prez. I learned a lot from it and it was good. We had a super fin blitz afterwards and saw a lot of success from that in the hour and half we had. It's a super awesome city if I ever get to serve there. 
I hit up some exchanges with elder mabey and that was so much fun. We were actually supposed to be companions in the MTC but because he's from Australia it was impossible for him to get the visa. But I learned a lot from him and it was a solid day. Had a couple member visits on Saturday and Sunday. We are super lucky because we have the stake president in our branch. He is actually incredible and used to be the missionary president like 6 years ago. I was honestly intimidated by him when I first got but he's actually super nice and a really happy and funny dude. We had an awesome visit with them on Sunday and got to know them. 
Other than that, everything is going great. Something I've been thinking about a lot since conference is how personal the Atonement of Jesus christ is. President Nelson challenged us to study the Atonement every week for the rest of our life. I started thinking about why the Atonement is important for me personally and how I have been affected in my life from it. We will truly never be able to comprehend the Atonement all the way which means that we need to keep studying it as much as possible so that we can continue to understand more and more. 
"Jesus Christ took upon Himself your sins, your pains, your heartaches, and your infirmities. You do not have to bear them alone! He will forgive you as you repent. He will bless you with what you need. He will heal your wounded soul. As you yoke yourself to Him, your burdens will feel lighter. Dang this was such a normal week, but I'll try to make this interesting. Monday we had a district p day which was awesome. I used to have those every week in Prague, I definitely miss those days haha. But we went to one of the prettiest places in the country, it was literally a fairy tale land. But it was an awesome day and gave us some energy for the long week we had. We ended that day with some street contacting, picking up elder Rowes wallet from the train station cause he lost it, and then killing around 15 spiders that have been lurking in our church building for probably the past 5 years.  Tuesday was a completely normal day, we visited an inactive member and she said she's definitely not going to come back to church. Kinda unfortunate.  Wednesday was the first day of my mission that I have ever gone door to door contacting. It was actually a lot of fun but dang nobody wanted to talk with us. This is actually going to be such a short email cause I don't feel really good, but this week was so awesome. Pretty much the first half of the week was pretty great, normal missionary work. We were able to teach a couple lessons and talk with lots of people. Good stuff. Thursday we went to the other elders area and I ran an exchange with my old comp from Prague elder Lawrence. That was a good time and good to be back together. The exchange was pretty great. That next day I had my last VISA appointment in Prague and now I have my visa which is good. Elder Hinckley still has 2 more so we will be going back again very soon. Pretty bad timing but its alr.  The best part of the week was that i was able to return to CBUD for a baptism of one of our friends that I was able to teach before i left. She is so amazing, already has the strongest testimony! She has some family members in the church so she has been reading the Book of mormon a little bit over the past couple years. One day she ...

Week 88 Or Something As A Missionary

Whats up everybody! This week was really awesome! It started off with a lot of late nights preparing for ZC and some other things, but it was a lot of fun.  It's been a crazy past couple of weeks. As a mission, we always have a monthly focus. Througout our MLC about a month ago, we counciled about things and decided that the best monthly focus for our mission would be, "Confidence and Christ". We were planning a lot of things, even as we were preparing for a zone conference, we were completely focusing on how to grow in our confidence in Christ. Then as we watched General Conference, President Nelsons talk was titled, "Confidence in the Presence of God". It was such an incredible feeling, knowing that our mission is focusing exactly on what the Prophet feels need to share with us.  Zone Conference went great, all the trainings and thoughts were all focused on growing our confidence through charity and Virtue and how to apply it directly into missionary work.
