Brno+Ostrava
This week was actually full of some pretty fun and different things, so i have some things to write about!!
First off, we had a lesson with our friend Jana and after a little over a year she is finally ready to be baptized. She's honestly really confusing and Ghosts us every once in a while. But she said she is praying about a date and should get baptised sometime in december if everything goes well.
We had a lesson with Kingslin from Nigeria and that went super well. He was absolutely digging the Book of mormon and we have another lesson tonight with him. We didn't have an English book of Mormon anywhere in our area but we have one now so he is super excited to start reading it. Super fun lesson and hopefully he will start to progress.
We had an awesome Zone Conference in Brno, I learned a lot from that. I learned a lot from roleplays because we got partnered with elder Dorr and he was giving a lot of good advice and was super strict with us. It was a fun time. After that we did a finding blitz for about an hour and a half, and I got paired up with elder ballstead who got here about 3 weeks ago. It was super awesome and he's a stud. We had some superrrr good conversations and definitely touched the hearts of some people.
Straight from ZC we drove to Ostrava with thr ZLs for an exchange and that was a lot of fun. I was with elder Theodosis and we had a good time. He got called as a ukrainian speaking elder but he has super good slovak and czech as well so he's pretty much just a beast. He also almost killed me literally 5 times while we were driving. Drove straight through a an intersection with two tram railroads and like 2 car lanes but we somehow made it through without crashing. Also almost got abosulety wrecked by another tram, if i didn't tell him to stop and think the car would be totaled. Some other driving incidents happened but i think that's good for now. The exchange was awesome, the people there were so open to talk with us and we found some really cool people. I've definitely started seeing some amazing blessings from being in hard areas the past 9 months because the joy I have now just from having a good conversation or even a lesson is so incredible! I'm super grateful for the hard I have right now, because I know it will make the good in my mission later so much more amazing.
Also on Sunday we had a dad with his 2 daughters come which was a huge miracle. One of our members said it was the first nonmembers he has seen come to church in like a year in a half(besides our other friend jana). So that was cool to see. Also another cool miracle, but for the past 16 months of my mission, I have never been let into somebodys house while door knocking. Soo many hours, but yesterday i was let into a house of a mom and 2 daughters and it was incredible! Such a cool experience!
We saw some awesome blessings this week and it's been amazing! Something I've been studying this week is about prayer, fasting and faith and how they all work together. I've read a bunch of different stories from the Book of Mormon, like Alma and Amulek, Sons of mosiah and Alma, also some Teachings from President Kimball! I can really testify that God does listen to our prayers and he answers them in a way that will help us to grow and learn the most. A lot of times that isn't what we would choose but it's what we need. God loves each and every one of us more than we can ever know and he will never leave us alone! Love you guys!!
