Christmas Season

Yoo how are you all doing!?? Christmas time here in the Czech Republic is awesome and full of super cool Christmas markets! This Christmas will be a lot different than my Christmas last year in Prague, but the small town Christmas market feeling is awesome here. We live right on the town square and every time we walk outside we are surrounded by Christmas music, some Christmas pop up stand market things and a pretty cool ferris wheel. The unfortunate part is that usually everybody is drunk here because of beer. But during Christmas season everybody is even more drunk on wine. And it smells terrible. But we have some pretty cool interactions with people because of it. 
Last year when I got to the mission we did a challenge to try to hand out as many book of Mormons as possible and it was a lot of fun. We are doing it again this year and it's been a lot of fun. As we've been able to focus on the Book of Mormon we have seen some awesome things happening here. We've been able to give out like 7 or 8 book of Mormons this past week and some of them were really awesome. A lot of the conversations start off with them not very interested at all. Then we testify that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and how much it has blessed us in our lives. It's been awesome to see these people's hearts get touched and want to read from the Book of Mormon because of it. Unfortunately a lot of these people don't turn into lessons or anything, but I know that if they read the Book of mormon their lives will change. 
Other little updates
- Our friend Jana is getting baptized on Saturday which is super exciting
- finally snowed here which is pretty cool. The humity is crazy here and so it feels a lot colder than I think it actually is. 
- we talked to like 10 different Jehovahs witnesses yesterday and that was great. My companion still doesn't really understand too much and so those convos are always a good time. 
- We had our first game night this past week and none of our friends showed up but we did have 3 members. Kinda brutal, but still a good time

Dang this was such a normal week, but I'll try to make this interesting. Monday we had a district p day which was awesome. I used to have those every week in Prague, I definitely miss those days haha. But we went to one of the prettiest places in the country, it was literally a fairy tale land. But it was an awesome day and gave us some energy for the long week we had. We ended that day with some street contacting, picking up elder Rowes wallet from the train station cause he lost it, and then killing around 15 spiders that have been lurking in our church building for probably the past 5 years.  Tuesday was a completely normal day, we visited an inactive member and she said she's definitely not going to come back to church. Kinda unfortunate.  Wednesday was the first day of my mission that I have ever gone door to door contacting. It was actually a lot of fun but dang nobody wanted to talk with us. This is actually going to be such a short email cause I don't feel really good, but this week was so awesome. Pretty much the first half of the week was pretty great, normal missionary work. We were able to teach a couple lessons and talk with lots of people. Good stuff. Thursday we went to the other elders area and I ran an exchange with my old comp from Prague elder Lawrence. That was a good time and good to be back together. The exchange was pretty great. That next day I had my last VISA appointment in Prague and now I have my visa which is good. Elder Hinckley still has 2 more so we will be going back again very soon. Pretty bad timing but its alr.  The best part of the week was that i was able to return to CBUD for a baptism of one of our friends that I was able to teach before i left. She is so amazing, already has the strongest testimony! She has some family members in the church so she has been reading the Book of mormon a little bit over the past couple years. One day she ...

Week 88 Or Something As A Missionary

Whats up everybody! This week was really awesome! It started off with a lot of late nights preparing for ZC and some other things, but it was a lot of fun.  It's been a crazy past couple of weeks. As a mission, we always have a monthly focus. Througout our MLC about a month ago, we counciled about things and decided that the best monthly focus for our mission would be, "Confidence and Christ". We were planning a lot of things, even as we were preparing for a zone conference, we were completely focusing on how to grow in our confidence in Christ. Then as we watched General Conference, President Nelsons talk was titled, "Confidence in the Presence of God". It was such an incredible feeling, knowing that our mission is focusing exactly on what the Prophet feels need to share with us.  Zone Conference went great, all the trainings and thoughts were all focused on growing our confidence through charity and Virtue and how to apply it directly into missionary work.
