Veselé Vánoce

Merry Christmas everybody! I hope you are all having the greatest Christmas ever! This Christmas is a lot different than last Christmas haah. Because I'm in a smaller area we didn't get invited over anywhere for Christmas but we were able to spend Christmas eve dinner and night with a senior couple who are awesome! And today we are going back to their house for Christmas day! Super chill and low key but still awesome! 
This past week and a half has been pretty good. We dropped quite a but of our friends cause they just completely Ghost us haha, but we also met This super awesome 19 year old kid that plays hockey here. We've taught him 3 online lessons since we met him which is so fire! Hopefully everything keeps going good with him! We were able to visit another man and his two daughters, it was a fun time, not really what i was expecting haha but it was good to be in there home. We also were able to go to go over to our branch presidents house with his family and make a bunch of czech Christmas treats and that was super fun! Probably my favorite parts about the past week and a half haha. 
This Christmas has been a little different because the Christmas markets everywhere are super awesome but a lot of people here genuinely don't know or celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. Here in czech republic they don't have Santa Claus but they have someone called "Ježíška" which literally means baby Jesus haha. It's been awesome to study more about the birth of Jesus Christ and the important of why we celebrate christmas. I'm going to steal something that my grandma sent me, but i really liked it!

*Love like Jesus

I think that is a perfect explanation of how we should celebrate Christmas! I love Christmas because of all the family time and all the Christmas lights and everything, but Christmas can be way more meaningful j was believe,  trust, hope, seek, worship, and love. I love you guys all soo much and hope that this Christmas season has been as amazing time with families, friends, new memories and time thinking about the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ! Love you all and Merry Christmas!

Dang this was such a normal week, but I'll try to make this interesting. Monday we had a district p day which was awesome. I used to have those every week in Prague, I definitely miss those days haha. But we went to one of the prettiest places in the country, it was literally a fairy tale land. But it was an awesome day and gave us some energy for the long week we had. We ended that day with some street contacting, picking up elder Rowes wallet from the train station cause he lost it, and then killing around 15 spiders that have been lurking in our church building for probably the past 5 years.  Tuesday was a completely normal day, we visited an inactive member and she said she's definitely not going to come back to church. Kinda unfortunate.  Wednesday was the first day of my mission that I have ever gone door to door contacting. It was actually a lot of fun but dang nobody wanted to talk with us. This is actually going to be such a short email cause I don't feel really good, but this week was so awesome. Pretty much the first half of the week was pretty great, normal missionary work. We were able to teach a couple lessons and talk with lots of people. Good stuff. Thursday we went to the other elders area and I ran an exchange with my old comp from Prague elder Lawrence. That was a good time and good to be back together. The exchange was pretty great. That next day I had my last VISA appointment in Prague and now I have my visa which is good. Elder Hinckley still has 2 more so we will be going back again very soon. Pretty bad timing but its alr.  The best part of the week was that i was able to return to CBUD for a baptism of one of our friends that I was able to teach before i left. Week 88 Or Something As A Missionary

Whats up everybody! This week was really awesome! It started off with a lot of late nights preparing for ZC and some other things, but it was a lot of fun.  It's been a crazy past couple of weeks. As a mission, we always have a monthly focus. Througout our MLC about a month ago, we counciled about things and decided that the best monthly focus for our mission would be, "Confidence and Christ". We were planning a lot of things, even as we were preparing for a zone conference, we were completely focusing on how to grow in our confidence in Christ. Then as we watched General Conference, President Nelsons talk was titled, "Confidence in the Presence of God". It was such an incredible feeling, knowing that our mission is focusing exactly on what the Prophet feels need to share with us.  Zone Conference went great, all the trainings and thoughts were all focused on growing our confidence through charity and Virtue and how to apply it directly into missionary work.
