MLC A Poprvé V PDUB

How are you all doing!? This week has been a pretty good one. We spent quite a bit of the week outside of our area, so it was pretty crazy and exhausting, but a super good time. 
We had interviews with Prez here in MB and it's always a super good time spending a couple hours with him. He actually might be the smartest person i know! So that interview went super great and he gave me a lot of things to thing about for the next couple of weeks/months. The next day we traveled all the way to Brno for our mission in person MLC. It was great seeing some other missionaries and counseling on new ways to improve the mission. Our mission is crazy old right now. We have like 40 missionaries here in the Czech Republic and 26 out of the 40 are going home in the next 7 months and we are getting a new mission president. It's going to be pretty hectic haha. But the council was great and we talked about a lot of good things to improve on for right now. 
Right after that we drove to Paredubice and i had a great exchange with elder Folkman. We served together in the same district for like 6 months so it was awesome to run it back with him. We had some pretty good conversations throughout the day and learned a lot as well. 
Then we had DC in Liberec and after that just worked our area super hard the next couple of days. It was a Great week and I'm having an awesome time here. The work here in our zone is exploding and it's super cool to see. 
I've been studying a bit about consecrating and giving our will to God. In a couple different talks that I've been reading it says, "The intimate and absolute test of your life will be whether you hearken with exactness to the voice of the Spirit of God withing you using all the talents and gifts and education he has given you to bring to pass His work and His glory and not your work and your glory." "What is a Consecrated missionary? It is a missionary who is willing to lay everything on the altar of Sacrifice and to hold nothing back."
When i read these at the start of my mission compared to know it's been super cool to see a change on how I look at it and what Consecration truly means. Everything we have in our life was given to us by our Heavenly Father and the greatest gift we can give back to him is our will to do everything we can to follow him and bring others to him. Even though it can be challenging at times, it brings soo many blessings and growth into our own lives.

Dang this was such a normal week, but I'll try to make this interesting. Monday we had a district p day which was awesome. I used to have those every week in Prague, I definitely miss those days haha. But we went to one of the prettiest places in the country, it was literally a fairy tale land. But it was an awesome day and gave us some energy for the long week we had. We ended that day with some street contacting, picking up elder Rowes wallet from the train station cause he lost it, and then killing around 15 spiders that have been lurking in our church building for probably the past 5 years.  Tuesday was a completely normal day, we visited an inactive member and she said she's definitely not going to come back to church. Kinda unfortunate.  Wednesday was the first day of my mission that I have ever gone door to door contacting. It was actually a lot of fun but dang nobody wanted to talk with us. This is actually going to be such a short email cause I don't feel really good, but this week was so awesome. Pretty much the first half of the week was pretty great, normal missionary work. We were able to teach a couple lessons and talk with lots of people. Good stuff. Thursday we went to the other elders area and I ran an exchange with my old comp from Prague elder Lawrence. That was a good time and good to be back together. The exchange was pretty great. That next day I had my last VISA appointment in Prague and now I have my visa which is good. Elder Hinckley still has 2 more so we will be going back again very soon. Pretty bad timing but its alr.  The best part of the week was that i was able to return to CBUD for a baptism of one of our friends that I was able to teach before i left. She is so amazing, already has the strongest testimony! She has some family members in the church so she has been reading the Book of mormon a little bit over the past couple years. One day she ...

Week 88 Or Something As A Missionary

Whats up everybody! This week was really awesome! It started off with a lot of late nights preparing for ZC and some other things, but it was a lot of fun.  It's been a crazy past couple of weeks. As a mission, we always have a monthly focus. Througout our MLC about a month ago, we counciled about things and decided that the best monthly focus for our mission would be, "Confidence and Christ". We were planning a lot of things, even as we were preparing for a zone conference, we were completely focusing on how to grow in our confidence in Christ. Then as we watched General Conference, President Nelsons talk was titled, "Confidence in the Presence of God". It was such an incredible feeling, knowing that our mission is focusing exactly on what the Prophet feels need to share with us.  Zone Conference went great, all the trainings and thoughts were all focused on growing our confidence through charity and Virtue and how to apply it directly into missionary work.
