Misijní Konference

This week was great! We had a super awesome mission pday. It was good to see everybody and we also had a mission wide florbal tourney. I got put with my son elder olson and we won the tournament so that was a good time. Then we had mission conference and Elder Palmer from the presidency of the 70 and Elder McConkie came back. It was soo amazing. I always get soo much out of Mission Conferences and they are times that I will remember forever! One day I hope to be able to testify and carry the spirit the way that elder mcconkie and elder Palmer are able to. I don't know how to describe it, but everybody in the room could undoubtedly feel the spirit every time they stood up to say something. It was an incredible conference. 
This week was the start of a new transfer and we started off with an exchange here in MB with my old comp elder Bonewell. It was a good time to just see the change in both of us in the past yearish. We can actually speak czech now haha. The rest of the week was honestly super normal. We had some really good lessons with a few of our friends. They are all reading from the Book of Mormon and gaining testimonies of the truthfulness from it and they have been seeing blessings comes from it which is great to see. 
Elder palmer shared these verses with us from D&C 44:2-3
"2 And it shall come to pass, that inasmuch as they are faithful, and exercise faith in me, I will pour out my Spirit upon them in the day that they assemble themselves together. 3 And it shall come to pass that they shall go forth into the regions round about, and preach repentance unto the people."
When I think about the MTC or Zone Conferences or Mission Conferences, the spirit is there and it is strong. I have seen that at every conference i have been to. When all the missionaries gather together I can feel the spirit being poured on us. Throughout my mission, some of the most spirit filled experiences i have had is when missionaries are ending their mission and sharing how the mission has changed them. I've been blessed to have some of these spiritually experiences, but it is my responsibility as a missionary to go back to my area and preach repentance and invite them to feel the spirit and have that joy that comes from it. I know that the spirit is strong when faithful member are gathered together and it is our job to bring other into that gathering as we go out and help them come to know the truth! It's amazing!

Dang this was such a normal week, but I'll try to make this interesting. Monday we had a district p day which was awesome. I used to have those every week in Prague, I definitely miss those days haha. But we went to one of the prettiest places in the country, it was literally a fairy tale land. But it was an awesome day and gave us some energy for the long week we had. We ended that day with some street contacting, picking up elder Rowes wallet from the train station cause he lost it, and then killing around 15 spiders that have been lurking in our church building for probably the past 5 years.  Tuesday was a completely normal day, we visited an inactive member and she said she's definitely not going to come back to church. Kinda unfortunate.  Wednesday was the first day of my mission that I have ever gone door to door contacting. It was actually a lot of fun but dang nobody wanted to talk with us. Křest Jany v ČBUDSKY

This is actually going to be such a short email cause I don't feel really good, but this week was so awesome. Pretty much the first half of the week was pretty great, normal missionary work. We were able to teach a couple lessons and talk with lots of people. Good stuff. Thursday we went to the other elders area and I ran an exchange with my old comp from Prague elder Lawrence. That was a good time and good to be back together. The exchange was pretty great. That next day I had my last VISA appointment in Prague and now I have my visa which is good. Elder Hinckley still has 2 more so we will be going back again very soon. Pretty bad timing but its alr.  The best part of the week was that i was able to return to CBUD for a baptism of one of our friends that I was able to teach before i left. She is so amazing, already has the strongest testimony! She has some family members in the church so she has been reading the Book of mormon a little bit over the past couple years. One day she ...

Week 88 Or Something As A Missionary

Whats up everybody! This week was really awesome! It started off with a lot of late nights preparing for ZC and some other things, but it was a lot of fun.  It's been a crazy past couple of weeks. As a mission, we always have a monthly focus. Througout our MLC about a month ago, we counciled about things and decided that the best monthly focus for our mission would be, "Confidence and Christ". We were planning a lot of things, even as we were preparing for a zone conference, we were completely focusing on how to grow in our confidence in Christ. Then as we watched General Conference, President Nelsons talk was titled, "Confidence in the Presence of God". It was such an incredible feeling, knowing that our mission is focusing exactly on what the Prophet feels need to share with us.  Zone Conference went great, all the trainings and thoughts were all focused on growing our confidence through charity and Virtue and how to apply it directly into missionary work.
