Countenance
Whats up!? This week was a pretty good one. We had an awesome Zone pday in Prague. We went on a hike and play some other games and stuff. It was a good time. Definitely good seeing all the other missionaries all together.
Honestly nothing crazy really happened This week. We headed out to plzen for exchanges and that was pretty awesome. It was fun to be back and we had a good day. This week was honestly a pretty slow one and things just weren't really going. We had 6 people ok Saturday evening confirm that they were going to come to church which was super awesome. We were super hyped. We called them all Sunday morning again and none of them answered our called and not a single one of them came. Kinda brutal. It's been good tho, we've been trying really hard to just find genuine people that want to progress.
Alma 18:12, "And it came to pass that when Ammon had made ready the horses and the chariots for the king and his servants, he went in unto the king, and he saw that the countenance of the king was changed; therefore he was about to return out of his presence."
I was reading Alma 18 this morning and the phrase "The countenance of the King was changed" really stook out to me. The word countenance means the appearance of somebody's face that which often reflects their spiritual attitude. It was soo cool to realize that King Lamoni changed because of the actions that Ammon did. It wasn't anything that Ammon said to king Lamoni, but it was the fact that what Ammon did was crucial and changed the countenance of King Lamoni. Through the actions of Ammon, the heart of the King was softened and he was prepared to receive the gospel.
I know that this gospel is true and that being an example of Jesus Christ can bless others. Each act of kindness helps other come closer to Christ. I love you all and hope you have a great week!
