Miracles Of Fasting

This week was incredible! The work is absolutely moving here in Plzeň and it's been soo fun to be part of it. Last week we did a mission wide fast and all the missionaries got split into groups. We had a group of 3 companionships and we all fasted for each other and the needs of each area. Some of the things we fasted for were 

- Help our investigators receive a testimony of the restoration and the Book of Mormon
- More investigators to come to church on sunday
- and to fast individually for our friends Petr, Oleh, and Francisco

This week we saw some of the coolest miracles come from the fast! We had a lesson with Petr and it was amazing! We were able to put him on Baptismal Date for June 29th and it will be amazing. He has such a cool story, God really does work miracles! 

We were also able to put our friend Oleh on Baptismal date for July 19th! It was an amazing lesson and it was soo cool to see how excited he was to have the feeling and comfort of the Holy Ghost with him forever. He unfortunately got hit by a lot of opposition from his parents and Said he can't be baptized anymore, but we are still working with him. 

We had one of the most spiritual lesson with Francisco, and his testimony is truly growing of the Book of Mormon! Me and Elder Ballstaedt were able to bear powerful testimonies to him of how we received testimonies of the Book of mormon and how much it has changed our life. It was one of the coolest lessons that I probably won't ever forget. 

To top all of that off, we had 2 amazing new friends come to church on Sunday and they absolutely loved it! They are awesome and they could start to progress pretty fast as well. Soo many good things are happening here! 

This week we also had a second lesson with the 8 year old kid we found last week. It was one of the coolest lesson i have ever been apart of because this 8 year old kid is incredible. They came to the church building and his dad said, we are not here for me, we are here for Kuba. The entire lesson we taught Kuba in the simplest way and it was soo cool to see him understand everything. He's amazing! 

I could keep going on and on, but I'm loving the mission right now! Everything is just good, and I'm super grateful I get to be a representative of Jesus Christ here in the city of Plzeň! I have had some of the most spiritual experiences and lessons of my mission the past 4 weeks and I can't wait to see what other blessings happen these next couple of weeks!

Week 88 Or Something As A Missionary

Whats up everybody! This week was really awesome! It started off with a lot of late nights preparing for ZC and some other things, but it was a lot of fun.  It's been a crazy past couple of weeks. As a mission, we always have a monthly focus. Througout our MLC about a month ago, we counciled about things and decided that the best monthly focus for our mission would be, "Confidence and Christ". We were planning a lot of things, even as we were preparing for a zone conference, we were completely focusing on how to grow in our confidence in Christ. Then as we watched General Conference, President Nelsons talk was titled, "Confidence in the Presence of God". It was such an incredible feeling, knowing that our mission is focusing exactly on what the Prophet feels need to share with us.  Zone Conference went great, all the trainings and thoughts were all focused on growing our confidence through charity and Virtue and how to apply it directly into missionary work. Dang this was such a normal week, but I'll try to make this interesting. Monday we had a district p day which was awesome. I used to have those every week in Prague, I definitely miss those days haha. But we went to one of the prettiest places in the country, it was literally a fairy tale land. But it was an awesome day and gave us some energy for the long week we had. We ended that day with some street contacting, picking up elder Rowes wallet from the train station cause he lost it, and then killing around 15 spiders that have been lurking in our church building for probably the past 5 years.  Tuesday was a completely normal day, we visited an inactive member and she said she's definitely not going to come back to church. Kinda unfortunate.  Wednesday was the first day of my mission that I have ever gone door to door contacting. It was actually a lot of fun but dang nobody wanted to talk with us. This week was great! Tuesday and Wednesday were honestly pretty long days and we got a little wrecked street contacting. We didn't have too many lessons, but it was fun. Ever since school got out, it's been a little different finding and there hasn't been as many people willing to talk with us. We still found some pretty cool people tho.  Thursday we went to our bishops garden. Him and his wife are awesome. She picked flowers off of a bush and dipped them in potato sauce and grilled them on the campfire. It was pretty interesting and I probably wouldn't ever eat it again. But we had a good czech BBQ and that was awesome.  Friday was super awesome because we had our last Zone Conference with president and sister skousen! They are some of the greatest people on this planet and I am soo lucky to have served with them the past 20 months of my life.
