Šťastný Nový Rok!!

Image
Šťastný nový rok! Happy new year! This week was litty and a lot of good stuff happened and I'm also learning a lot. Last week for Christmas, we spent the whole day at an American member's home. It was nothing like Christmas back home but a lot more normal then I bet a bunch of other missionaries around the world had. It was pretty solid.  On Wednesday we had Zone Conference which was a lot of fun. I saw a bunch of other missionaries again and it was super fun. Nothing too crazy but it was a good day. That next day we had exchanges with the ZLs and I was with a ukrainian elder all day. He learned English on the mission and it's honestly really good. It was cool to see him and learn from him. My comp was with the other ZL and he went to Mountain View. We talked a lot about sports and stuff so it was a lot of fun to make some crazy connections.  The next couple days were kinda slow. Our whole district was pretty sick this week so we were just trying to grind and get through th...

VESELÉ VÁNOCE VŠEM

Veselé Vánoce všem!! It's Christmas! It's crazy cause I still feel like it was just a couple weeks ago when it was summer. But now it's Christmas and this Christmas is going to be way different than any other Christmas I've had but it's gonna be great.  This week was insane and filled with so many different feelings and things haha. Last P day was a lot of fun. We went to Charles Bridge and took a bunch of pictures in our Christmas sweaters. My district is goated so p days are always a lot of fun. We went to some Christmas markets and then played sports for like 3 hours. It's crazy how it's warm enough to play sports here but the weather just changes randomly all the time. It was freezing about a month ago and then on p day it was like really good weather and we played sports. But then it snowed again this week and it was freezing most days. It's super weird.  Missionary work during Christmas here is honestly hard. I feel like everybody I talk to is in t...

Baller Week

Christmas in Prague is insane and way different than anything I've ever seen. Last P day we visited some of the coolest christmas markets ever. It's almost like I'm living in a movie or like what you would imagine a movie to be like. It's so freaking cool. They have huge Christmas trees and have some crazy good Czech food. I low key don't know where I'm going to go with this email because so many random and fun things happened this week and the mission is the best during Christmas time! Last p day we also went ice skating and i can fs say that I've gotten better since the last time I went. That's not saying too much tho cause im terrible, it was still a good time. I've got a new district and they are all so cool. I've been blessed to be around some of the best missionaries these past several months and they've taught me so much.  The next day we did service for some dudes in our ward and it was a lot of fun. I don't know why but other mis...

1st Transfer

Image
I'm staying in Prague for 3 more months! My first transfer is over and now I'm staying here for 3 more months! It's going to be so cool to be in Prague for Christmas and I'm super excited. This has actually been the longest week of my life but it's been maybe the best week of my mission. I will definitely say I've never been so tired in my life haha I'll start where I left off last week. We read the Book of Mormon from Sunday at 1 until Tuesday at 3. It was such a cool experience and I have such a strong testimony that the book is true. It also was so much fun just being with my district for 3 straight days. I never thought i could sit down for such a long time because I hate reading haha. There's just something different about the Book of Mormon, because there was not one second where I felt like putting the book down or felt tired. That's crazy to me but it was such a cool experience. Now this is my challenge to all of you guys, READ THE BOOK OF MO...

Last Week Of My First Transfer

Image
This was the last full week of the transfer and it was a super good one. It's been snowing most of the week and It's so much fun. I shoveled the church parking lot for about an hour and a half. It was my first time ever doing that and it was the best, I wish it snowed in AZ. Me and my comp went onto the roof of our church building and made 100 snowballs to throw at all the YSA that were walking into the church building. Earlier that day I also threw a snowball from across the entire intersection and hit a window of the church building that the sister's and Elder oldroyd were looking out of. It was maybe one of the coolest moments of my life. I couldn't do it again if I tried like 200 more times. I will also say that I hate ice. We walked outside of our apartment and my comp looked at me and told me to watch out for the ice. I said ok and I was super careful and 5 steps after we left the apartment I had my back on the ground with a book of Mormon a couple feet away from ...
